Please note that all sessions are paid in full amount before you can claim any rebates from Medicare or Private Health Insurance.

The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee for 50 minutes psychological consultation is $311.

Medicare

Medicare rebate is $96.65 per session. Medicare offers up to 10 rebate sessions per calendar year starting with 6 sessions.
Medicare rebates are available through the GP initiated mental health treatment plan.
In order to receive this rebate you will need to see your GP and ask for a “MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT PLAN”.

Private Health

You can reduce the fees for individual and couple/family therapy if you have a Private Health Insurance.
The possibility to get the rebate and the amount claimed will depend on your cover, please check with your insurance provider.

Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment, we allocate the time especially for you. Therefore the cancellation policy in place to allow the time you cannot attend to another person who might be on a waiting list for that appointment.
We would highly appreciate 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without you incurring any extra fees. Full fee will be charge for non-attendance or less than 24 hours cancellation of a session.
We understand that sometimes you are not able to attend the appointment due to unexpected personal reasons. If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible.
Medicare does not cover cancelled appointments.

Can I get a rebate from Medicare and also claim from my Private Insurance?

Unfortunately, you can only claim from one or the other; i.e. either Medicare or Private health insurance.

Can we bring our kids into couples therapy?

It is highly recommended that you concentrate on each other and your relationship in the couples therapy. In most cases, it is very difficult to do so when children are around.
